3F's Passover Seder

March 15, 2019

3F enjoyed a Passover Seder – in some amazing World Book Day costumes – today.  We have been learning about Passover as part of our Judaism topic in RE.  We have studied the story of Exodus, which is remembered at Passover and have also learned about the symbolic foods that are on the Passover table.

Today we held our own Seder.  Each group put together a plate like the one below, as well as trying some unleavened bread (Matzo).

The children really enjoyed learning a traditional song in Hebrew that is sung at the Seder.  As you can see, the best part was tucking in.  3F always enjoy a bit of food tasting.  Here they are getting stuck in!

For our next RE topic we will be studying the Easter story.
