1E have had the most fantastic time at the Eversley Leisure Centre for our Gymnastics lessons. The children have had great fun working with their 3 coaches to learn a range of new skills.
Some of the skills the children have been learning include:
- forward rolls
- handstands
- building strength and balance
- learning a series of ‘shapes’ – tuck, pike, star and straddle
- trampoline skills
- walking, crawling (both forwards and backwards) and even forward rolling on a balance beam!
We cannot thank the Gymnast team enough, our class have thoroughly enjoyed are 6 week block of lessons and the children cannot wait to return again in Year 2!
